Sailing in Squamish:
In the summer, Squamish is known for consistent and reliable winds. Winds are generally light in the morning building into strong Southerly inflow wind in the low 20 knot range by early-afternoon. Water in the racing area is salty with significant mountain glacial run-off, which results in extremely cold water (even on hot days).
